This semester, we have Learner Diversity course, tutorial for my group is under my beloved lecturer Ummi Dr Rosseni.. 😀
For the first assignment, our group are being assigned to watch “Juvana The Series”. Juvana is one of the popular drama at TV3. From watching the drama, we have to write our own personal reflection and moral values of the “Juvana”. Then, we need to create a digital message about the drama. First of all, i kinda excited to know that watching drama series is part of the assignment.. 🙂
About JUVANA The Series Episode 1
Juvana is a story about Daim Bin Yahya, 17 years old teenager who is being accused of killing her own mother and his mother’s boyfriend in a murder case at his house. Even though Daim didn’t commit the crime, but he is unable to defend himself because there are no evidence or witness to prove him as innocent at that moments. The court declare Daim is guilty and decide to send him to rehabilitation center which is Wira Bakti School.

At Wira Bakti School, Daim learns to adapt his new life with full of challenging of being bully by the group of students and he also having new friendships.

MORAL VALUES
There are several moral values from Juvana Drama series for episode 1. First of all, teacher should have a positive perception towards his students. Mr Raja, who is the warden of Wira Bakti School has negative perception to all of his students who enter the Wira Bakti School. He thinks all of the students will bring him trouble as he thinks they are all criminal. He uses the concept of only discipline and punishments to train his students to behave properly according to the rules that he already decided. As a teacher, he should also has consideration, encouragement and motivate his students for them to naturally realized for what is right and what is wrong to do which it leads them to change their attitude to be positive and better for their life so do to their future.
In the episode 1, it also portray a character of Mak Wan, who is in charge to provide food for the students at canteen in Wira Bakti School. She treats all of the students nicely without any prejudice. She enjoy herself having some jokes with Botak. And she also welcoming and greets Daim at the first time Daim meets her at canteen.
Next is, sympathy towards other. Daim feels sympathy to his friend, “Black”, or his real name, Nasrul Bin Hitam, who is being beaten by Botak. Daim always trying to help Black whenever he has chance to help him.
Bad attitudes make everyone’s life miserable. Botak gains his power as he beating other students to make them afraid of him and makes him as a leader at Wira Bakti School. He lets other students are suffering by his bad attitude.
A negative attitude really does affect the quality of life. Sometimes it takes control of life and see everything in the worst possible way. Negativity can lead to sadness, depression, stress, and giving up on life. If can take away the energy and motivation. It make people become a hopeless who cannot help themselves.
