A vlog is a video blog post. The term can also refer to a blog made up entirely of video blog posts. Vlog posts are created by creating a video of yourself or an event, uploading it to the Internet and publishing it within a post on your blog.

During the class, Mr. Helmi give his talks on video production module. He explains more about how to make video. We also have a special guest, Mr. Yusof, the official photographer for our class today.

The aim of the video production module is for us to create the design, develop the ideas and produce our own videos as well integrated as teaching tools. It’s will expose us more to video technology as well as mobile and web 3.0 technology. For our first phase of video production, it require us to start planning our video by using scripting and story board. There are many tools which helping us in the process of scripting and story board called User Innovation Management (UIM) tool.

These are the steps in first phrase of the process scripting and story board:

Step 1: Select the message, or the theme of video.

Step 2 : Planning the storyline, whether need the actors or narrator in the video and the place to shoot the video.

Step 3 : Find the sources and explore the ideas to shoot the video and think of emotions the audience will feel from watching the video.

Step 4 : Vision, planning how long each scenes will take and how to attracts the audience’s attention in watching the video.

Step 5 : Sketch/prototype, create the plots which presented by storyboard and record it using mobile phone.

Then, we continue our task for this week, to create a storyboard of our story based on the ideas that we have in the pre-production phase. Mr. Helmi gave each of the group some boxes of plasticine, colour markers, sticky notes and a huge board.

Here is the photos of the activity in completing the storyboard..
